The Tailorr Feature: How to Use It Like an Expert
At the heart of the team at SoapNotes.doctor is the goal to build a simple product.
A product that needs no documentation while prioritizing security and flexibility. Brick by brick**,** we**'re** making that dream a reality.
We launched the Tailorr feature in the 1.0.0 stable release in August 2025.
The Tailorr feature helps you customize your soap note to a format you love by just adding tags.
Want the objective section to always be in listicles? Use the tag "make objective listicle**."** Want the subjective section to include quotes of patient words? You may use the tag "add patient quotes to subjective."
Voila. All you need is a tag**—**you can create one right there or you can select from the curated tag list.
How to Use the Tailorr Feature
Currently**,** the Tailorr feature is only accessible after a generation. This ensures you get the best result from SoapNotes.doctor's default configuration.
In most cases, a lot of people will be satisfied with the initial generation.
But if you ever need to tailor your notes, here's how to use the Tailorr feature:
- After a generation, click on the Tailorr button.
- Select from the available tags for customization**,** or create yours by typing it out.
- Use the submit button**.**
It**'ll** take about a minute to process**,** and you're done.
Tip:
If you're creating your tags yourself, make sure to use action words.
So rather than use "Sound like Dr**.** Anthony**," use "Make this sound like Dr.** Anthony."
This helps SoapNotes.doctor understand your query better.
Your tags should always be instructive.
